The Altura? Endograft System is a device designed for the endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms. The Altura? Endograft System is modular, where the proximal sealing is obtained by adequately positioning two D-shaped stents, which allows for customization to the specific anatomy of the patient’s aorta. It typically includes two proximal components and two iliac components, one for each iliac artery. The system includes active fixation hooks at the suprarenal level, ensuring secure placement and reducing the risk of migration. Once introduced, the Altura? stent graft allows in situ adjustments to be made to optimize placement and seal, and it’s the only endovascular abdominal device where the two proximal components can be offset up to a maximum of 1cm in order to use all the proximal neck.

Last, the modular design eliminated the need for cannulation of the contralateral gate, reducing the implantation times, and the retrograde deployment of the iliac components allows for the treatment of patients with short common iliac arteries. The delivery system is ultra-low profile, allowing it to navigate smaller and more tortuous blood vessels, and allows to take angiograms directly through the sheath, which eliminates the need for an angiographic pigtail catheter.
